Happy 51st Birthday to Paul Rowe (my Dad)

Not that he reads my site, but for those of you who know my dad and read my site... call and wish him a happy birthday! He is pretty spry for his age, and will kick your butt if you dont.

Oh... What a morning!

I have Corwin for the next several days, so I drop him off to daycare in the AM, and my parents are picking him up at night...
today was my first morning of this routine, though I did a trial run a few weeks back...

I got up and get Corwin dressed and all, I did wind up leaving my house 15minutes later than I had planned on, but still, all was good. Corwin was awake and smiling, dressed warm, and even chattering away...

I drove him to school, and he didn't pull the I'm too sleepy or 'Don't leave me daddy...' stuff, it felt good that he was 'OK'...

My drive to work was decent, a few idiots, a near 'run out of gas moment when i realize I still hadn't stopped for gas since last night. I stopped by my parents house to drop off keys... I accidentally stole my dad's keys, so my mom and him had to do a carpool thing, leaving my dad at work w/o a car... he is catching a ride home at lunch w/ someone to get the keys and the car... what a mess... [Sorry Dad!]

I get to Starbuck's in Mundelein and pay for my coffee... and while I am waiting, their dishwasher shorts out and starts smoking. You cam see flames behind the gages, the machine is stainless so they refuse to touch it, they are trying to run us out of the building, while I kept asking them for a fire extinguisher to put it out. They wouldn't let me, said I might get hurt...

So they call 911, and I get handed a 'free coffee' coupon... Trust me, when you haven't yet had your coffee for the day, and you got up earlier than normal, and you are stressed from all the retarded drivers who act like snow never happens... that coupon is like 100th place... I was pissed! My coffee was sitting there, all done except for the whip cream... I could taste it...

Damn barista's... they need fire training... I could understand a 5 minute delay due to fire, but to make me have to wait until the next Starbucks (which, despite there being one on every corner, the next closest Starbucks is all they way by my work... out of my way, but worth the trip...

Denying me my coffee... what kind of monsters are they??
